Owner and lead hairstylist Serena Lisowe set it up in 2019 in a private salon suite, after moving her work from Solana Beach. In 2020 the studio took over a former barber shop space that a neighbor had left and expanded into it.
The studio centers on conscious, eco-friendly haircare and healthy personal care products. The salon says it recycles almost all of its waste, and it asks each client for a small $2 fee per visit that funds recycling through Green Circle Salons.
Color services include a base color, lowlights, glosses and a semi-permanent funky color, along with a French balayage specialty offered as accent, partial, full or ombre. A double process combines a base color with balayage. Cuts run from fringe trims and child cuts to student, tapered and tailored cuts, with a focus on sculpted and textured shapes. Brazilian Blowout smoothing is offered in two versions, and other services include therapeutic scalp facials, a Milbon deep conditioning treatment, blowdry styles and braids or upstyles.
New clients may need to join a waitlist or book four to eight weeks ahead.
