Every visit begins with a consultation to talk through the look the client wants, along with how much upkeep they are willing to do and what they expect to pay. The salon's guiding idea is that hair should be easy to style, so stylists take hair type and texture into account and aim for looks clients can maintain at home. Wash-and-wear cuts are a core part of the menu, and clients are sent home with advice for protecting color from Florida sun and humidity.

Color is a major focus. The salon has a color bar where custom shades are mixed in front of the client, and options are chosen with skin tone in mind. Highlights use foil techniques selected for the target design, and foiling can add volume at the root.
