Mercedes Jorge Marte

Mercedes Jorge Marte is a master stylist and color specialist at Lenka Hair Salon. The owner describes her as a bilingual professional, and some guests consider her one of the best stylists in town, according to the site. She works alongside Oksana, a former salon owner from California, to serve guests.

She completed an apprenticeship at Lenka Hair Salon and graduated from Fashion Focus Academy. She attended the advanced French haircutting education program at Cutting Loose Salon in Sarasota, took classes at Jamison Shaw Hairdressers in Atlanta, and was coached by Candy Shaw and her team in French cutting and balayage. She is certified with Martin Parsons in up-styling and long hair design.

Her color specialties are correction, grow-out gray transformations, and vibrant reds and blondes, and she creates natural, sun-kissed color using freehand French technique, including balayage. Her cuts range from edgy to clean-cut, including women's short cuts and long layered cuts. She insists on a consultation with every guest before cutting or coloring, and if a requested look is not achievable or suitable, she recommends a different option.
