Wax That Ash

Wax That Ash is based at 1431 Seventh St in Santa Monica, with the studio upstairs from the building entrance on Seventh Street. Clients can use the stairs or the elevator, and the front door is unlocked, so no entry code is needed.

The studio's core services are brow lamination, lash lifts and body waxing. Its booking platform groups services under Body Waxing, Brows, Facial Waxing and Lashes.

The business also runs The Lash Edit, a training course on lash lifting technique for people who are licensed cosmetologists or estheticians, or who are enrolled in school. Trainings are held on the first Sunday of each month starting at 9 am and last about six hours. The $1,700 fee includes two models, lunch, a full lash kit, a manual and a printed certification, and a deposit of half the fee is due within 24 hours of booking, with the balance due 24 hours before the training date.

Clients should plan extra time for parking. Street parking is the only option, with free two-hour parking right out front, metered parking on Broadway, and metered parking on Seventh Street. Clients have a six-minute grace period after their appointment time, and late arrivals who cannot be seen at their booked time are charged half the price of the missed services. Changes or cancellations made within four hours of the start time are charged in full, and the studio says it strictly enforces its cancellation and attendance rules.
