Wave Studio Salon

Wave Studio Salon brings together independent hairstylists under one address in Long Beach. Each stylist sets their own availability, client eligibility, pricing, deposits and booking policies, which are shown on their individual booking sites.

Linh Nguyen opened the salon and works there as owner and stylist. Clients book appointments only, and walk-ins are not accepted. After booking, clients receive a digital consultation form to complete before the visit. The lot has free parking, the salon is wheelchair accessible and kid friendly, and wifi, complimentary drinks and snacks are offered.

Booking requires a $50 deposit for any service, or 50% of the cost for hair extension services. The deposit is held as credit toward the booking and can be paid online by card. Cancelling or rescheduling with at least 72 hours notice returns the full deposit, while later notice forfeits it as a no-show fee. Confirmation texts arrive 3 days and 24 hours before the appointment, and clients confirm through the link. The salon may cancel if it cannot reach a client to confirm.

Color options include grey coverage root touch-ups from $120, full color from $200 and gloss from $120. Highlight pricing runs from face framing at $195 to $215, to partial highlights at $295 to $325, full highlights at $425 to $475, and full babylights with tipped-out ends at $475 to $550. Haircuts include a signature cut from $105, short or clipper cuts from $60, bang trims for $20 and an express cut for $75 that takes about 30 minutes. Treatments include a headspa at $120 to $150 and a Brazilian blowout from $300. Hair extensions require a consultation first. After the first appointment, clients can reach their stylist by text, phone or email with hair care questions, and aftercare is provided in the Wave Studio Salon Hair Handbook PDF. The salon states that it supports the LGBTQIA+ community, and it accepts a range of cards, digital wallets, buy-now-pay-later options, Venmo, Zelle and cash.

Each stylist works independently with their own policies, while clients stay in touch with their stylist for hair care questions after the first visit.
