This Corner began as an idea in early 2019 and opened on December 4, 2019, on the corner of Pine Street and Smedley. The name refers to the favorite corner of a home, the spot that a candle, magazine or small object makes a little better, and that idea shapes the shop.

The salon is co-founded by Nozomi Sawa and Lee. Clients of all ages and genders are welcome, and the team covers color, cutting, styling and smoothing treatments.

Clients can take a free consultation of roughly 15 minutes before booking a corrective cut, color correction, double process color or balayage. Visit lengths run from a brief bang trim to color services that take several hours, and the booking details give estimated times for each service. Gift cards can be purchased on the website.
