The Color Lab operates from Suite 112 within Phenix Salon Suites in Birmingham. Bookings are taken Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the studio is closed on weekends.

Hair color is the core of the menu. Options include color retouches, toner or gloss applied at the root, custom highlights in partial or full formats, balayage, fashion colors, and going silver or platinum. Men's haircuts, women's cuts with styling, and blow outs are also offered.

Color correction and larger color changes begin with a free 10-minute consultation, which is required before booking a correction. After that, the studio estimates the price and sets out a treatment plan. Correction appointments commonly run 2 to 5 hours. Deposits apply: $250 for color correction, paid on the consultation date and credited to the service day; $250 non-refundable for going silver or platinum; and a minimum $350 held for fashion color appointments.

Clients who are unsure what they need can still book a general appointment, and staff will contact them afterward. Booking notes are available for special requests or particular needs for the hair service.

Color correction and larger color changes are planned in advance, starting with a free consultation that leads to an estimate and treatment plan.
