SOHO Hairbar is a shared space in Chandler where independent stylists work side by side. Avery Woodburne and Abby Schreck co-founded it. The two met in 2007 while assisting at Dolce.

Clients choose their own stylist and book directly with that person, either by messaging the stylist or through the Phorest booking page. There is no front desk in between. For the fastest appointment, clients can call the salon line. Specialty haircuts such as pixie cuts and bobs are booked by phone, since only select stylists offer them. The cancellation policy is linked from the booking page, and gift cards can be bought online.

The stylists meet monthly to talk about product knowledge, business strategy and professional growth. The salon also hosts in-salon events with outside educators, open to stylists from other salons. Abby Schreck created the Hampton Hair extension line, and because it is kept on site, color-matched extensions are available without a wait.

Independent stylists work in one shared space and run their own books, so clients choose who they see and book that person directly.
