The renovated, upscale room has modern furnishings and up-to-date tools, and guests are offered espresso, tea or another drink when they arrive. The salon says its experience is rooted in hospitality and client service.

Stylists start by learning each client's hair goals and style wishes at the first visit. Services are offered a la carte and are priced on a sliding scale that reflects each stylist's experience level; apprentice pricing depends on availability. Color services such as highlights and color do not include a blow dry, which is charged separately at a rate that varies by stylist level. Prices do not include gratuity, and the salon notes that industry averages run 15% to 20% of the service. The salon says it values price transparency and that prices may change with or without notice. The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday, with Monday reserved for trainings and appointments, and bookings are made by phone.

Booking policies ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a 50% appointment fee, and repeat offenders may be asked for a credit card to secure future visits. Clients who arrive more than 15 minutes late may not receive the full service and may be rescheduled. Children are welcome only while they are receiving a service, and guests who come along are asked to wait in reception unless seating is free. Clients can request a redo appointment within 7 days of a service. Hair extensions are guaranteed for 3 days after leaving the salon. A referral program gives a complimentary wash, cut and style for every three clients referred.

Color formulas are treated as the salon's own intellectual property. A client leaving for another salon can purchase their formula for $250 for a base and glaze, and each additional formula on a client card is $150. The salon uses L'Oreal and Redken color and products because of contractual obligations and does not use outside color or products. Hair care products carry a 100% satisfaction guarantee and can be exchanged within 5 days of purchase if at least three-quarters remain unused. Product returns are handled as exchanges or salon credit only, with no cash or card refunds, and brushes, make-up, boutique items and gift cards cannot be returned. The retail bar carries Kerastase and Kevin Murphy products. The salon says it was named Best of Beauty by Allure Magazine.
