Smith + Fox Salon is named for Frances Smith, the grandmother of owner and stylist Fran Connolly, who opened the salon.

The space is comfortable, clean and creative, with plenty of natural light and good air circulation. Artwork by local artists hangs throughout. The salon says its aim is to help each client look and feel their best.

The salon offers hair color and styling. Color services include partial and full balayage, partial and full foil, partial foil with toning, cellophane and tint. Blowouts and a gloss plus blowout are also available. Color prices depend on hair length and density, so the salon quotes according to each client's hair.

The team includes a Master Colorist, a Certified Master Colorist who teaches color for LaBiosthetique, and a color specialist who has trained in razor cutting and color. The salon is open Sunday through Thursday 10am to 6pm, Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm, and it also takes special appointments outside those hours.

The salon aims to help each client look and feel their best in a comfortable, creative space where the team focuses on color and cutting that suits the individual.
