Selah Salon

Selah Salon is a hair salon in Troy, Illinois. The name means to pause and reflect, and the salon was set up as a comfortable, peaceful place to unwind. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, and visits include complimentary drinks and snacks and a private shampoo bowl room.

Services cover cuts for women, men and kids, and waves and updos for everyday wear or events. Color ranges from refreshes to full transformations, and blonding includes highlights, balayage and full blonding. Extensions, treatments aimed at repairing damage and improving shine, airbrush makeup for weddings, photoshoots and special events, and facial waxing with brow shaping are also available. Hair care is from the REF and ELEVEN Australia lines.

Permanent jewelry is offered in the salon by appointment with Katie Prante. Pieces are chosen from a curated selection of chains and charms, custom-fitted and welded closed with no clasp. Current prices are $50 for a bracelet, $60 for an anklet, a necklace starting at $75, $30 for a kids bracelet, $40 for a kids anklet and $20 for a repair.

Each stylist sets their own pricing, which is listed on their pricing page. Clients can call or text (636) 856-6636 or (618) 447-8403. Cancellations and reschedules need at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations made with less notice may be charged up to 50% of the scheduled service total, and no-shows may be charged the full service amount before rebooking. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean rescheduling, and may count as a no-show if that is not possible. Reminders are sent as a courtesy, and clients are responsible for confirming or canceling. Fees may be waived at the salon's discretion in genuine emergencies, and clients with repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may be asked to prepay or leave a deposit.
