SASS Lash Artistry sits in downtown Larkspur, with its entrance to the right of COMPASS. Clients text when they arrive and the owner comes down to let them in. The studio is open by appointment on weekdays from 9:30am to 4:00pm and on Saturdays from 10:00am to 3:00pm. A two-hour parking lot is close by, and street parking is available.

The main work is lash extensions: individual synthetic lashes bonded to each natural lash rather than to the skin. Lengths, curl and fullness are tailored to eye shape, natural lashes, lifestyle and the look the client wants. Full sets are listed at $250, and fills run from $125 to $190. Extension clients receive an aftercare kit with a lash cleanser, cleansing brush and spoolie, a free 10-day touch-up, and free removal if they are not happy with the result or react to the adhesive.

The YUMI Keratin Lash Lift lifts and shapes natural lashes for an open look, with a tint for added depth, a keratin treatment and a personalized consultation. The treatment takes about 1.5 hours and the results last roughly 8 to 12 weeks. It is priced at $190. The studio says a lift can be repeated every 8 weeks and a tint every 4 weeks with proper care. The lift is timed according to the salon's own view of the lash growth cycle. A free consultation is offered before a lash lift or lash extensions so the artist can look at natural lashes first. The YUMILASHES 2.0 formula is made in France and is described as cruelty free and free of formaldehyde, ammonia and parabens.

For brows, YUMI Brow Lamination realigns the hairs for a fuller, more even shape. Maintenance visits between laminations include waxing or tweezing, trimming, an optional tint and a deep moisturizing treatment. Payment is by credit card, Tap to Pay or cash, and Buy Now, Pay Later is available for bookings from $50 to $4,000 with approval before the appointment. Clients who reschedule because they feel unwell do not lose their deposit, and there is $10 off for referring a friend plus a birthday-month offer.
