Red Studio is a hair studio in Novi, Michigan, run by Christine Dunaway. It is a private, calm space where the focus stays on each client, and color sits at the center of the menu alongside haircuts, blowouts and treatments.
Services cover balayage, ombre and babylights with or without a cut, color with gloss, highlights and lowlights, corrective color and color changes, and a ten-minute Schwarzkopf color process for gray coverage, blonde toner and touch-ups on dark hair and browns. Haircuts include women's cuts for short to shoulder-length hair, longer cuts for shoulder-length or longer, thick or curly hair, men's cuts and cuts for children aged 12 and under. Blowouts range from a quick Big Beautiful Blowout to a longer version for shoulder-length or longer or very thick hair. Treatments include Kerastase with a hot towel massage, keratin smoothing for frizz control, and Malibu Detox clarification for well water buildup. Eyebrow tint is also offered.
New clients are asked to book a free 15-minute consultation with their chosen service. The studio currently takes new female clients by professional referral only. Wedding consultations cover in-salon and on-site styles in Michigan and Ohio, and the portfolio shows before-and-after color work and bridal hair. Booking runs through the calendar page, and a waitlist is joined from the bottom of a fully booked date. Appointments are open Thursday from 1:30 to 5 PM, Friday from 11 AM to 3 PM and Saturday from 11 AM to 2:30 PM. Cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours carry a 50% fee of the scheduled service, and no-shows or same-day cancellations carry a 100% fee. Clients who are unwell are asked to reschedule.
