Queen City Blonde

Queen City Blonde is a Charlotte salon inside Image Studios, in suite 201, room 118 at 1630 Oakhurst Commons Drive. The salon centers on blonde and brunette color and hair extensions, with haircuts for women and men also on the menu.

Color services cover traditional highlights, balayage, specialty blonding, solid color and fashion color. Haircuts are offered for both women and men.

Hand tied extensions use real hair attached with beads and string, with no glue, tape or heat. Every extension appointment starts with a consultation to talk through goals and work out how much hair is needed. Clients choose their colors and amount first, and the hair is ordered afterward, so the install usually happens the following week. The hair cost is paid up front and the install fee is paid on the day of service. Pricing depends on how much hair is needed and how many rows, and most clients need two rows. A first install is listed at roughly $900 to $1,300, including the hair. The salon says the method is safe, comfortable and does not cause breakage. Extensions need moving up every six to eight weeks as natural hair grows, and the hair can be worn for about nine to twelve months. A Move Up service is priced at $175 per row.

Crystal tooth gems are offered at $50 and take about 45 minutes. They are for real teeth only and will not stay on veneers or crowns. Clients 18 and older can book, as can clients 16 and older with a parent's signature and presence.
