PJ Beauty Salon describes itself as a specialized hair studio whose work centers on the artistry and cultural heritage of braiding and locing. It has two locations, one in Yorba Linda and one in Fullerton, and says it works with all hair types and textures, including natural, relaxed, curly, coily and straight hair.

Tuesday through Saturday hours are 9:30 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday hours are for appointment intake and consultation only. A $50 hair consultation is offered at both locations. Children can receive services for select hairstyles, and only clients receiving services attend appointments unless prior arrangements are made.

The studio also teaches braiding. Course modules cover braiding techniques, cornrowing, extension integration, scalp health, loc styling and business management for braiders. Students who finish all modules and a final practical assessment receive a Professional Braiding Certification recognized by the studio. A two-hour Hair Maintenance Workshop is offered on Mondays at the Yorba Linda location.

The studio sells professional hair care products for keeping styles in good condition between appointments.
