The retail store in Santa Fe Springs lets customers see the hair in person. Walk-ins can browse the range or pick up online orders there. The braiding salon at the same address is called Ywigs Braid Bar, and it describes its aim as expert braid styling with premium human hair in a clean, professional space. It welcomes all hair types, ages and genders and serves children over age 7.
Hair is not included with appointments, so clients can buy it at the salon, bring their own, or buy Ywigs hair for a service and receive $50 off.
Booking requires a $50 non-refundable deposit made online, which is applied to the service cost. Appointments can be cancelled up to 48 hours ahead with the deposit moved to a new booking; otherwise it is forfeited. Clients arriving more than 30 minutes late may be rescheduled, and the deposit is lost if they are not rebooked within five days. Walk-ins are accepted when availability allows, with booked clients served first, and certain early morning or late evening times may be arranged on request. Hair should be clean, free of product and blown out before arriving, and at least 3 to 4 inches of length is recommended for braids. Wash, detangling and blow-dry services can be added. Accepted payment includes cash, Venmo, Zelle and PayPal.
Video consultations are offered for remote guidance by phone, and the brand runs wholesale, affiliate and rewards programs.
Ywigs selects human hair for integrity, consistency and a natural appearance, with attention to texture definition, natural movement and structure that holds over time. Its braiding and crochet services are built around clean, professional technique and premium human hair.
