Modern Texture is run by its owner, Meaghan Hawley, who holds the title IBE Master Artist and has more than 20 years of experience working behind the chair. The work centers on color, extensions, cuts and styling, with a focus on luxury extensions, dimensional color and seamless transformations.

Before booking extensions, clients can take a free consultation of about 45 minutes. It covers hair goals, color matching, extension options, maintenance and the investment involved. IBE extensions require this consultation first. Color appointments are recommended on a schedule: base retouches and all-over color roughly every 4 to 6 weeks, and highlight services roughly every 6 to 12 weeks.

The studio is open Monday from 10 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 AM to 6 PM, and Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and is closed Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Appointments that start at or run past 6 PM, and Saturday appointments, carry a $100 after-hours fee. Cancellations or no-shows within 24 hours of the appointment are charged 50 percent of the service. Questions can be sent through the contact form on the website.
