Michol's Studio is located inside Salons D'Allon on Egret Bay Blvd in Houston. The studio is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9am to 5pm, and after-hours appointments can be arranged by calling or emailing.

Michol, the owner, is the studio's color specialist. Training began in a boutique salon under platform artist Thomas LaDage while still in school, and dual training was completed in 2001. Since then Michol has learned from many different artists in their areas of expertise and keeps up with continuing education on current color techniques, cuts, styles and products.

Each look is planned for the individual client rather than a standard style. Michol considers eye color, facial structure, facial symmetry and complexion, and usually mixes custom shades instead of using a color straight from the tube. The studio says it uses only high-quality products sourced from around the world.

Ladies' and men's shampoo, cut and style are offered, with ladies' services priced from $45 to $60 and men's from $20 to $25, and children's cuts are priced the same as men's. Color retouches for new growth on ladies are $65 including style, and all-over color is $85 for ladies with style included. Highlights, mid-lights and low-lights for ladies are priced by hair length from $100 to $125 with style included, and one to three colors are included in that price. Special styling up-dos start at $75 and require a consultation first. Chemical straightening starts at $200, and corrective color is quoted before the service. Group rates are available.

Michol designs color, cut and style for each client individually, blending training from many artists into a personal method.
