Meraki was started by longtime friends Lori Hefner and Caroline Cabana, who co-own the salon and work on the floor as senior stylists. The business takes its name from a Greek term that points to doing work with heart, imagination and affection, bringing a piece of yourself into everything you make.

The team focuses on personalized service and on each individual client. The salon calls itself a high-end boutique in the Eastover neighborhood of Myers Park and sits inside The Villa. The salon is open Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is closed Sunday and Monday. Reviews are published on Google and Yelp.
