Maven & Mane Extensions was created by Kasey, the founder of the business. Kasey says the wefts were developed after testing hair samples for tangling, breakage, color fading and weight. The salon works with extension hair that is single donor and cuticle intact, with each weft made from one person's hair. The salon states the hair is ethically sourced, and the micro wefts are described as coming from Eastern Europe.

The salon operates as a group of independent stylists rather than one team under one roof. Each stylist has their own online booking link and handles their own clients. Bookings are made through the website, and both locations are open Monday through Saturday by appointment. The salon describes itself as a full-service salon, not only an extension studio, so color, cuts and blowouts are offered alongside extensions.

Appointments open with a consultation, where the stylist discusses the outcome the client has in mind and recommends a fitting method. For fuller looks and thicker strands, the salon points to beaded wefts. Fine hair, updos, and hair with a natural wave or curl are better matched with K-tips. Pre-rooted extension hair is balayaged so it blends with the wearer's own hair. The salon offers 18 custom shades, as well as solid and piano shades.

Policies are clear and worth reading before booking. Clients 30 or more minutes late must reschedule. A no-show or cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice requires a $50 deposit toward the next appointment. Children are asked not to come along.
