The Haus started in 2022 under the name Haus of Chantel and moved to a larger location around January 2026, adding room for more stylists and studio space. Renee built it from the start to be more than a traditional salon, and it now operates as a collective of stylists.

The business says it aims for a space that feels safe, warm and good to walk into, and that everyone is welcome exactly as they are, without judgment. Guests can expect drinks and a music playlist as part of the in-salon experience, and there are shop dogs on site.

Each stylist and artist is an independent contractor who sets their own pricing and books, reschedules and cancels through their own booking links. Hairstylists all work as booth renters. Each artist sets their own cancellation and no-show policy and handles their own fees and refunds, and payments are collected directly by the artist rather than the salon. Studio space is also reserved for services such as lashes, brows, tattoos and nails, and interested stylists can apply through an online studio rental form.
