Mango is a salon that follows Aveda's standards for its products, treatments and guest care. A haircut here begins with a consultation tailored to the client, then an Aveda sensory experience, a calming wash and a finishing blowout. Booking times vary with hair length, thickness and condition. According to the salon, its staff are extensively trained and driven by creativity and craft. Mango Academy offers ongoing education to all team members, including sessions led by Aveda international educators in New York and Washington DC, in-house instructors, mentors and online learning.

Each color appointment starts with a consultation with an Aveda colorist, and returning color guests can book online using their designer's saved formula. Highlight services use Aveda's Enlightener blonding system, which the salon says can lift hair up to nine levels. Color services are sold on their own, so highlighting, balayage, bleaching tone and blow dry are included only when paired with a haircut. Toners can be booked as a 30-minute stand-alone visit between color appointments. Color correction requires a consultation, must be booked by phone, and may take two to three visits to reach the desired result and rebuild hair integrity.

Guests who are new can request a designer match by calling the salon, and the team suggests a designer based on hair goals.
