Lex & Co took its inspiration from small, independent salons that Lex came across while traveling in Paris. Lex owns the salon and rents chairs to four stylists, Nikki, Lucia, Alexis and Ryanne. Each stylist runs a separate business with their own clients, schedule and booking terms, so the salon works more like a shared studio than a single team.

The salon says its goal is for every client to feel welcome, heard and understood. A 30-minute one-on-one consultation costs $50 and covers hair history, goals, maintenance and budget. A Signature Haircut is $210 and takes about 1 hour 10 minutes, including consultation, shampoo, conditioning, cut and blowout.

Color services are organized by how much time has passed since the last appointment. New clients seeking balayage, highlights, dimensional color or a major change book a New Client Color Transformation, starting at $700. Returning clients four or more months out from their last balayage or highlight book a Full Balayage Refresh from $550, while shorter maintenance visits within eight weeks have their own lighter appointment. Root retouches for clients returning within six to eight weeks are $200, or $275 with toner.

Extensions are a major part of the work. Clients buy their hair through the salon, which says all extension hair is custom selected and that outside hair cannot be installed because its quality cannot be verified. Weft installations and full-head K-tip installations both require a consultation first, and final pricing is confirmed then. K-tips are single-use and typically last three to five months. Extension move-ups are recommended every six to eight weeks for existing weft clients.

Bookings and deposits are handled on the salon's Square booking page. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the scheduled service is required and goes toward the final balance. One reschedule is allowed without losing the deposit with at least 72 hours' notice. The salon is open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 6:30, and services are offered in English and Spanish.
