The salon opened in Adams Morgan in 1983 and moved a few years later to its current home in the Golden Triangle Business District. Bruce Marks, who owns and runs the salon, had earlier opened Bruce Marks International in Old Town, Alexandria, in the late 1970s. The salon says it has been recognized by several publications as one of DC's best salons for hair extensions.

Men and women are both welcome. The salon sees its clients as fashion-minded professionals across the DC area who want to refresh their look, and its stylists come from several countries and training backgrounds.

Extensions are Hotheads 100% remy human hair, and fantasy-color extensions blend synthetic and human hair. Extension color is blended from 20 shades into up to 400 combinations, and no chemical color is added to the extensions. Applying extensions takes about one to two hours, and they typically last eight to ten weeks and can be reused up to three times. For hair replacement, the salon uses OnRite systems as an alternative to surgical hair replacement, with a free consultation and 20% off the first visit, booked by phone or online.

Appointments can be booked by calling 202-775-1999 or through the online booking system, where first-time users create an account once. Hours are Monday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday to Friday 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sunday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Prices vary by stylist and are subject to change. Hair extensions and smoothing treatments require a $200 deposit, or $400 when both are booked. Appointments are confirmed 48 hours ahead. A minimum of 24 hours' notice is requested for cancellations; late cancellations are charged 50% of the reserved amount, and no-shows are charged the full amount. First-time clients booking two hair services should book both with the same stylist.

The salon aims to meet and exceed client expectations for hair and skin care, and says its international team was hand-selected for skill and service.
