Kolurz Hair Studio

Kari Vierra opened Kolurz Hair Studio in 2011. The salon sits on two acres in a park-like setting, and its interior mixes modern and vintage touches with an old Hollywood glamour inspiration. The studio is small and quaint, so each client is served one-on-one.

The studio aims to create customized looks that suit each client's features, personality and style. Color is the core specialty, and stylists choose the techniques needed to reach the result each client wants.

Color Touch Up starts at $125 and covers root color and a styled blowout. Solid Color starts at $175 for all-over color with a global gloss and blowout. Partial Custom Color starts at $250 and can combine root touch-up, partial highlights, global gloss and blowout. Full Custom Color starts at $300 and can add full highlights, balayage and foilayage to those steps. A haircut can be added to any service for $85 or more.

The salon describes itself as voted Best Color and Hair Salon in Folsom. A 2018 post says Style Magazine readers voted it best hair salon, and its news page lists a 2017 People Love Us on Yelp award. Its KRAVE haircare and skincare line was formulated in 2014 with a chemist and was featured in Style Magazine's Swag Bag favorites in 2017. The line is paraben free, sulfate free, gluten free and vegan.
