Killer Hair Kristi Studio is a hair studio run by owner Kristi Benigno from Suite 106 of My Salon Suite NoDa at 2320 N Davidson St in Charlotte. The building also houses Rhino Market and Free Range Brewery, and there is free parking on site in retail spaces, on the street and on the first level of the parking deck.

The owner has been doing hair since 2001 and spent more than 13 years managing salons, from corporate brands to smaller franchises, before opening her own studio. The studio takes clients of every hair type, texture and style, and it is a good fit for big changes such as bold cuts and dramatic color shifts as well as routine maintenance.

Booking is mostly done online. Color services are also available on days that are closed to online booking, on request. Color is custom-ordered around each client's goals rather than pulled from stock, and new color clients pay a 50% non-refundable color deposit. First-time color clients have a short consultation before booking, and returning clients who have been away a long time need a consultation before their color appointment. Free consultations are offered for new guests, for vivid color, for drastic color changes and for extensions.

Arriving clients use the lobby intercom to let the stylist know they are there, and silent appointments can be requested. Pricing is not based on gender. Services are priced by hair length and technique, and anything past the earlobes is booked as a long cut. Appointments need 24 hours' notice to reschedule, cancel or make major changes. A valid credit card holds appointments and is charged 50% of the booked service for late cancellations, reschedules under 24 hours or no-shows.

The studio is open Monday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Wednesday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and it is closed Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Clients can also book through ClassPass to earn credits, and the ClassPass listing shows a 5.0 rating from 83 ratings.

The studio aims to be candid about what a client's hair can handle, how to keep it healthy and what results are realistically achievable, and it welcomes all hair types and clients.
