Services range from women's, men's and children's haircuts and blowouts to color, highlights and balayage, hair extensions, and keratin smoothing treatments. The salon also offers bridal hair and makeup, special occasion makeup and updos, faux lashes, and in-salon scar and tattoo cover-ups. Many services can be done at the salon or onsite, including bridal work at the wedding venue.

Booking can be done online at any time, by phone or by email. The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9am to 6pm, and closed Sundays and Mondays. New clients put a credit card on file to hold an appointment, which is not charged unless the appointment is missed or rescheduled within 24 hours. Clients are asked to give 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule, and no-shows are charged the full service fee. Consultations are recommended for extensions, corrective color and major changes, and a virtual extension consultation is offered. Education is a priority here: the team takes classes and studies new products to stay current in a quickly changing field, and the owner set up an apprenticeship program for junior stylists. According to the salon, it was voted Houston's top hair salon in the Houston Chronicle's Best of the Best Awards in 2020, it was voted America's leading wedding vendor, and it has collected many awards over the years. The salon also sells Janelle Alexis Cosmetics, a makeup line designed by the owner. The line includes foundation, primer, setting spray, mascara, brows, lips and eyeshadow palettes, and is made in the USA, cruelty-free and shipped from the USA. The Authentically Beautiful jewelry collection of gold-toned symbolic necklaces, priced from $50 to $75, is also sold, and the salon says a portion of each purchase supports women's mental health.
