Helix Salon is a curl-centric salon with a nerdy, geeky streak. It describes itself as queer-friendly, body positive and comfortable for people of all genders.
Founded by master stylist Sam Ploetz, the salon aims to be an inclusive, feminist space for all genders and all curl types. Cutting services include customized cuts, precision haircutting and DevaCurl dry cutting. Color services include refreshing highlights, covering gray hair and fantasy colors. Dreadlock work is handled by Siddal.
Clients book through each stylist's own booking page, and hours differ by stylist. Gift cards are available, and street parking is usually easy to find nearby.
