Scalp care is a central part of the studio. The Head Spa uses a scalp camera, steam, a deep clean, an ACV rinse, drying and a tonic, and it is open to clients whose locs are maintained by someone else. The Reset adds an oil pre-wash, a double clarifying wash, a full dry, a retwist and a second camera reading at the end. A six-week programme includes three Head Spa visits with camera tracking at each one and is booked in person with Ruth and paid up front.

Visits begin with paperwork and conversation. A New Client Consultation is required before a first visit, loc installation, loc extensions, restoration or take-down. The Reset and The Head Spa require an intake form before a booking is confirmed. Color clients book a consultation with a strand test, which is needed before any full color service. Loc extensions and loc installation are morning starts only.

The studio also offers a wide range of styling for natural hair, including wash and go, roller sets, two strand twists, combo coils, Bantu knots, flat twists, pipe cleaner curls and silk presses. Parents are welcome to stay with children during appointments, and breaks are allowed. Client scalp and loc photos are kept in the client file and are not shared without written consent.
