Hazel & Sage Salon

Hazel & Sage Salon takes its name from two things: the owner's bearded dragon, which inspired the name Hazel, and the owner's love of plants, nature, and the color sage green, which inspired Sage. The salon is located at 201 E Lincoln Hwy, Suite B, in downtown DeKalb.

The salon describes itself as a community built on authenticity, creativity, kindness, and self-expression. It says it aims to feel less intimidating and less rushed than a traditional salon, and to help every client feel comfortable, confident, and like themselves, whoever they are.

A visit is meant to feel personal. Clients can pick their own music while in the chair and are offered coffee in signature logo cups.

Services include cuts for longer and shorter hair, children's cuts, bang trims, and beard trims; color such as highlights, dimension, root retouching, and toning; and wash-and-style, formal styling, and treatments. Creative color and vivid work begin with a free Creative Color Consult, which includes a custom plan and a price estimate before anything is scheduled. The salon also has an online store.
