Every visit is by appointment, and walk-ins are not accepted. A first appointment opens with a consultation to talk through hair goals, how much maintenance a guest wants at home, and a plan for getting there. Hours run Monday 10am to 4pm, Tuesday through Thursday 10am to 7pm, Friday 10am to 3pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm. Cancellations or reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice, and late cancellations may carry a fee. Parking is available in the public lot behind the building, with more street parking nearby on Main Street.

The color menu includes root retouches, single-process all-over color and dimensional color, which is customized to add depth and contrast. Highlighting is offered as partial or full. Blonding is tailored to each guest, and according to the salon, most blonding guests return every 8 to 12 weeks. Grey coverage guests usually return every 4 to 8 weeks, and haircut guests every 6 to 12 weeks, according to the salon.

Beyond color, HALO offers customized extension services using tape-in, invisible weft and keratin-tip methods, along with enhancements such as an add-on haircut, glaze or root tap, and eyebrow shaping or tinting.
