Hair By Ty is located in Unit 728 at 918 S Horton St in Seattle, and it is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 AM to 12 AM. The studio works in three service groups: braids, quickweaves and sew-ins. It does not offer hair coloring.

The braid menu includes Miracle Knots for small or medium parts, a lightweight braided style that adds no braiding hair and suits clients with fine hair. The stylist uses a braid-in method for a smooth takedown, and clients need at least 3 inches of hair. Boho knotless braids come in two versions: one with premium waist-length virgin human hair and braiding hair included, where Classic Curls include one bundle, Extra Curls two to three, and Bora Bora Style four, and one where the client supplies their own boho hair in the same bundle counts. A reduced reinstall price applies only to clients who first booked a Miracle Knots install with the studio, and the studio supplies the crochet hair for that reinstall.

Quickweave options include a quickweave with minimal leave-out in a middle, flip-over or side part, and a closure quickweave with an 18-inch virgin human hair closure in 2x6 or 4x4 size. Sew-in options include a traditional sew-in, which must be done on washed and blow-dried hair and offers hair-included versions only in natural black or brown, and a closure sew-in with an 18-inch closure in 2x6, 4x4 or 5x5 size. Bundles for closure services come in straight, body wave or deep wave texture, and three 18-inch bundles are included in the closure price, with longer bundles costing extra. Curling or straightening is included in the price of sew-in and quickweave services.

Booking terms are firm: deposits are non-refundable and do not carry over to a future appointment if the visit is cancelled. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the appointment are charged 25% of the service total to the card on file. Questions can be sent to the owner through the contact page on the business website. The portfolio shows Fulani sew-ins, 2x6 closure sew-ins, closure quickweaves, Bora Bora knotless braids, small short boho knotless braids and flip-over Fulani styles.
