Hair by Jen is a Charlotte studio built around two services: brunette color and keratin bond extensions.

Every booking begins with a consultation, which can be in person or virtual, to talk through goals and plan the service. The final investment is set together during that conversation. Keratin bond extensions are priced from $700 to $3,100 depending on hair density, desired fullness or length, and color needs. Brunette color services start at $350, with add-ons listed from $350 to $600.

Services are sold as package rates and do not include a gratuity. A non-refundable deposit secures the first appointment and goes toward the cost of that visit. Cancellations and reschedules need 72 hours' notice; later changes carry a 50% service fee. The studio is open Tuesday through Thursday, 11am to 7pm.

The extensions are made of individual strands of 100% human hair. Each strand is bonded to the client's natural hair one at a time instead of being sewn in rows, which lets them move and part like natural hair. They can be worn in ponytails, buns, braids, claw clips and updos. Most clients keep a full set for about three to five months before the bonds are removed and replaced, and there are no mid-cycle move-up appointments.

Care at home is part of the service. Clients are asked to brush daily, follow a suitable wash routine, and sleep with their hair secured. Before swimming, hair should be wetted with fresh water, worn braided or up, and rinsed afterward. Color can be added to extensions too; each set is matched to the hair and often blends a couple of tones.

The studio says keratin bonds can be one of the gentler extension methods when placed well, and treats aftercare as central to keeping natural hair healthy.

Each visit happens in a private suite with one client at a time.
