The salon describes itself as one of the few green salons on the Eastside, and its focus on environmentally friendly practices runs through its products, cleaning routines and staff training.

Maggie's Wigs 4 Kids of Michigan, which shares the building, was founded in 2003. According to the site, it has provided more than 5,600 wigs and support services to children in Michigan at no charge. The salon is a separate business that serves adults and children with hair, nails, makeup, spa, specialty and donation services.

Products are made with responsibly sourced natural ingredients and botanicals and contain no synthetic fragrances. The lines include Aluram and Zenagen for hair, MiraBella Make-Up and Pharmagel Skin Care for beauty and skin, and Envyhair wigs. None of the products are tested on animals. Capes and towels are washed after every client, and workspaces and tools are kept clean and fume-free.

Hair donation is offered for a fee: a consultation, haircut and style, with donations accepted at 7 to 9 inches minimum. Donated hair is made into wigs for local recipients. Wig and hair replacement services use custom or ready-to-wear systems, with prices varying by option, and wig accessories such as caps, shampoo, brushes and scarves are sold.
