Fake & Co. is a Chicago hair salon led by its founder, Shannon, who specializes in hair extensions and everyday wearable hair color. Shannon has trained extensively in several extension methods and developed a custom extension technique that uses minimal points of contact and needs no heat, tape or glue.
Services are booked by the hour at $140 per hour. Grey coverage with a haircut and minimal blonding or color maintenance run about two hours, and full corrective color for any hair density takes four hours.
Each color formula is mixed for the individual client's hair. The salon uses high-performance products and bond builders during hair services. The aim is a relaxed, low-stress visit, and the salon describes itself as a space where clients feel relaxed.
The salon is open Tuesday and Thursday from 12pm to 8pm and Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 4pm. It is closed Monday, Saturday and Sunday. Contact is through hello@fake-andcompany.com.
