Fabellous Beauty Lounge opened on January 9, 2015, and was founded by owner and master stylist Terica Bell. The salon describes itself as a high-end salon and as one of the premier salons in Memphis. The team is made up of stylists and braiders who cover extensions, color, natural hair, protective styles and relaxed hair.

Appointments can be booked by phone or through the Appointments tab on the website, and walk-ins are welcome every day on a first come, first served basis. Same-day appointments can often be arranged by calling the salon. Regular hours are Monday and Tuesday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday hours vary and are kept for VIP clients, and appointments outside set hours can be requested by calling, with fees applying.

The salon has a rewards program in which clients earn points with each service and redeem them for discounts. Rewards cannot be applied to protective styles or extension installs. Bridal hair services are requested through an inquiry form on the website. Payment is accepted by Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover with proper identification; cash, checks, Venmo, PayPal and Cash App are not accepted.

Cancellations or changes made at least 24 hours ahead carry no penalty, while later cancellations are charged 50% of the service price and a no-show is charged the full price. Outstanding fees must be paid before a client can rebook with anyone at the salon. Because space is limited, children and guests are only allowed when they are receiving a service. Extension and product sales are final and not refundable. Clients who are unhappy with a service are asked to speak with management.

A second location in the Huntsville and Madison, Alabama area is being set up as a temporary suite inside Sola Salons Huntsville. Huntsville appointments are booked by calling or texting the number listed on the salon's website.

The salon says quality comes first, that it uses products and practices it considers among the best, and that continuous learning is a priority for its team.
