A visit starts with a consultation, where stylists talk through face shape, skin tone and lifestyle before recommending a cut or color. Hair services include a complimentary shoulder or scalp massage, and guests can enjoy organic beverages and refreshments. Magazines and an iPad are available during consultations. Service groups run from beard, bang and neck trims ($20) and barber cuts ($45) through full specialty highlights ($220), with a range of color, treatment and add-on options in between. Prices are as the salon lists them, with 'starts at' pricing on some services such as updos, perms and weddings.

The salon uses organic color systems and carries the Neuma professional line, which the salon says is free of toxic ingredients and made with 95 percent organic ingredients. It also carries CULT and KING hair, skin and scalp products, and sells Hairprint, which the salon says restores natural pigment in gray, brown and black hair and also works as a protein treatment. Hair tools such as blow dryers, brushes and combs are sold as well. Brow waxing and tinting results are said to last six to eight weeks.

The salon is open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 am to 7:00 pm, and Sunday is by appointment only. Free two-hour parking is available on the side streets, and pay parking is available on the main street for a modest fee. The salon is about a block from Whole Foods.
