Empress Locs & Braids LLC

Empress Locs & Braids was founded by Alexandria Jeffrey, a master loctician with over a decade of hands-on experience in loc repair, loc styling and loc color. The studio is located inside Salon Lofts in Suite 2 on Lake Underhill Road.

The business goes beyond appointments. Alexandria created the LOC HEADZ Oil Collection, a line of hair and body oils developed from research into simple, all-natural ingredients, and the studio sells the oils and other loc care products. The salon describes the LOC HEADZ oil line as FDA-registered and sold internationally. Products are sold individually, as sets, and in blends such as rose water with lemon avocado oil or onion water with meditation oil.

Teaching is a large part of the work. Loc Headz Academy is an education platform for locticians and beauty professionals, and Alexandria instructs its Interlocking Blueprint course, which covers interlocking, a comparison of interlocking and palm rolling, who is a good candidate, common beginner mistakes and the direction of rotation. Through Life with Empress, she also offers beginner loc instruction, diet and fitness accountability, and confidence coaching, along with a community for members.

Client reviews describe Alexandria as professional, patient and kind with sensitive scalps, and say she takes time to educate clients on hair care. The studio runs a loyalty program in which clients earn points and rewards.
