Elements Curl Studio

Elements Curl Studio focuses on naturally curly hair and also works with straight hair.

Every service is performed on naturally curly hair, and cuts are the core of the menu. A first visit is a two-hour New Client Curl Cut that includes a consultation, a dry cut shaped to the client's curl, and a walkthrough of cleansing, conditioning and styling. Returning guests have a shorter option: an Express Curl Cut removes up to 2 inches as a customized dry cut, with no cleansing or styling, and is for clients who have visited at least twice. Standard and extended curl cuts are booked by how long it has been since the last cut, roughly three to five months and six months or more. Color is the only chemical service offered on curly hair.

Booking is online, and new clients submit a New Client Curl Cut Request form first. A 50% deposit is required for a new client appointment and is applied to that first visit. Deposits are not refunded for cancellations made less than 48 hours ahead, while rescheduling at least 48 hours ahead moves the deposit to the new date. Cancellations later than 48 hours are charged half the service, and no-shows the full price. Clients who had a curly cut elsewhere, including a Deva or Rezo cut, are treated as new clients, and a returning client whose last curl cut was more than a year ago has their curls reevaluated as if new.

Before a first curl cut, hair should be dry, detangled and in its natural state, with little or no product and no more than second-day hair. Clients should arrive without ponytails, headbands or clips, and not with curls set in twists. Excessive detangling may lead to rescheduling or added fees.

The studio works with curls in their natural state, cutting dry and shaping each cut to the client's curl pattern. Clients are taught how to care for and style their hair.
