E Hair Studio opened in 2022 in South Slope after its founder, Yi, spent about a decade working in New York salons. The salon offers women's, men's and kids' haircuts for ages 8 to 14, root and full color services, highlights and balayage, ombre, grey coverage, and fantasy and trend colors.

Clients can start with a free consultation, which is offered as a complimentary service. Prices for color and highlight services rise with the amount of hair, and color correction is priced by the actual amount of hair. Appointments can be canceled or moved at least 24 hours ahead to avoid a deposit, and clients running late can arrive up to 15 minutes after their appointment time before the visit is treated as a no-show.

The salon uses products and tools from several brands, including Wella, Olaplex, Framar, Ergo, L'Ange and Gama, and says it considers them top-tier. The products used in the salon can also be bought. If a client is not happy with a result, they can report it within two weeks and the salon will correct it at no added cost, though changes to the original service or results needing several services are not covered. A loyalty program lets members earn points on spending that can be redeemed for discounts, a free blowout or a free Wella Hair Mask treatment.
