Yi

Yi is the founder and a hairstylist at E Hair Studio in South Slope, Brooklyn, after about a decade of work in New York. He began hair training in China in 1999 at Shenyang Pivot Point International Institution, and trained at Tammy Beauty Institute in San Jose, California, starting in 2007. He is licensed as a cosmetologist in California, Texas, Maine and New York. In 2010 he studied at Laney College in Oakland, California, where he focused on style, art, fashion and culture. In 2012 he joined Soon Beauty Lab in Brooklyn to further develop his hair design and colorization skills. His work covers hair coloring, highlights, balayage and haircuts, and he continues to take classes in hair fashion and style. He has over 20 years of experience in the hair industry as of 2022.
