DH Hair Designs was opened by owner Danielle Hale after she spent seven years in leadership at Moments Salon & Spa. The team is kept intentionally small so that each guest can build a relationship with their stylist.

A visit typically starts with a personalized color or cut consultation, which is listed at $0 for 15 minutes. Prices reflect the time, care and experience each service involves, and the salon notes that prices may be adjusted and are subject to change.

Guests can enjoy a complimentary coffee bar. The salon has open windows that let in natural light, and smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside.

Online booking requires a credit card, which is not charged until checkout. The salon charges no credit card transaction fees. Cancellations or no-shows made within 24 hours of the appointment are charged 50 percent. The salon does not service lice.

The salon keeps a small selection of haircare products in stock and links to favorite at-home products through its online shop. A portion of in-salon product sales goes to education. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100 and $200 amounts or a custom amount, can be sent immediately or on a scheduled date, and are final sale.

Each guest works with the same stylist from consultation through checkout and future bookings, and every service is customized to the individual's hair.
