Cropped & Painted is a hair business run by stylist Emily Bailey. It operates from suite 211 inside Liv Salon on West South Jordan Parkway in South Jordan, Utah. Calls and texts go to 801-580-8406, and bookings can be made online through the business's booking page.

The menu covers hair color, including all-over color, full and partial balayage, foil highlights, face frame highlights with gloss, root smudge and tone, color analysis, and color correction, which is charged by the hour. Cuts, blowouts, Brazilian blowouts and conditioning treatments are also offered, and bang trims are free. Brow tinting and brow waxing round out the list.

Extensions are a central part of the business. The salon uses Invisible Bead Extensions for installs, re-installs and removal. A new extension client has an in-person or virtual consultation before booking. The hair deposit starts at $200 and depends on how much hair is needed, and the deposit for a booked extension appointment is non-refundable and equal to the cost of the wefts. Extensions need adjusting every six to eight weeks, and the hair is replaced every eight to ten months, a few wefts at a time, with a minimum of three wefts. First-time extension guests should expect an initial investment of about $800 to $2,500, with maintenance on top.

Typical prices include a haircut at $100 for one hour, all-over color from $160 for two hours, full balayage from $250 for three and a half hours, and a blowout at $60 for one hour. A $50 consultation is offered and goes toward the service booked. Prices and times are as listed by the business, and appointments tend to fill well in advance, so the salon suggests booking ahead. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy.

Each client receives a custom service, and the salon says its approach makes hair easier to maintain.
