Corte is on the second floor at 2627 Connecticut Ave NW, in Woodley Park. According to the salon, it aims to be more than a place for appointments, a quiet and restorative space where clients can reconnect and feel understood.
The salon says it tailors each service to a client's lifestyle, preferences and individual look, and that it works with all hair types, textures and styles. Every visit opens with a personal consultation covering hair history, goals, daily routine, preferences and any reference photos. Haircuts usually take between an hour and an hour and a half, while color appointments and treatments can run longer. Corte also offers hair health services such as deep treatments and product recommendations.
Corte describes education and mentorship as central to its work, with a commitment to excellence aimed at supporting stylists and raising industry standards. It offers hands-on education classes for licensed cosmetology professionals in the DMV, including a live mannequin class priced at $300. Team benefits listed include paid classes, model calls, mentorship, quarterly one-on-one meetings, marketing support and flexible scheduling. According to the salon, it contributes to the region's growing reputation in the beauty industry.
The salon carries the Oway brand. According to the salon, Oway products use biodynamic, organic and fair-trade ingredients from family-run farms in Italy, and come in recyclable glass and aluminum packaging. Corte says Oway formulations are free from harmful toxins. Entry is shared with Sherry's Wine & Spirits, then up the stairs to Suite 200. A parking garage sits directly below the building and is reached by the alley behind it, with metered street parking on Connecticut Ave. The salon is across from the Woodley Park Metro on the Red Line. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, and late cancellations or no-shows are charged 50% of the service. Clients may request a complimentary touch-up up to one week after a haircut or color service, or up to three days after a short cut. Clients who are unhappy with a service can ask for an adjustment within seven days.
Corte tailors each appointment to the individual, starting with a consultation about history, goals and routine. The salon says it aims to be clear, kind and direct with clients and with its own team.
