Appointments are arranged by text, email or direct message, or by phone at 737-242-0433. New clients begin with an in-person consultation and, when needed, a strand test. Pricing for color and highlights is an estimate, since the final time and cost depend on each client's hair.

Haircuts start at $80 and take about an hour, beginning with a thorough consultation. Every haircut includes a shampoo, blow-dry and iron work. All-over color starts at $120 and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours; it changes the color of the whole head to shades lighter or darker than the natural shade, and the salon says it can provide 100% gray coverage. Root touch-ups start at $100, take about 1.5 hours, and cover new growth up to an inch, with the price depending on how much has grown in.

Highlight services include balayage, a freehand-painted lightening technique that lifts 2 to 3 levels. Partial balayage starts at $160 (about 2 hours) and full balayage starts at $240 (about 3 hours). Tailored partial and full highlights start at $160 and $240, with full highlights taking about 3 hours. Tailored highlights can combine Babylights, Foilyage, Ombre and Teasylights. Add-ons include an extra 30 minutes from $40, an extra hour from $80, and additional products from $10. Regular clients receive complimentary bang trims.

Chu Emery tailors recommendations to each client's skin tone and face shape, and builds a personalized haircare plan that fits the client's lifestyle, including a shampoo and conditioner routine suggested to help color last.
