Bella Niche is an independently run studio salon located within Eden Studios on France Avenue in Edina. The business changed its name in 2015 to reflect the addition of alternative hair, and its menu now covers color, cutting, facial waxing, smoothing treatments and wigs.

Color is the broad base of the menu. Options include root touch-ups, all-over color, colormelt, partial and full foil, balayage, foil with tint between, and a custom color service priced after consultation. The custom service combines color, foils, balayage, melting and toning and is booked for about 150 minutes.

Alternative hair is the other half of the studio. Clients can book one-on-one consultations for wigs and hair pieces, order individual or personalized pieces, including custom colored one-of-a-kind designs, and bring in systems for washing, steaming, restyling and bang trimming. The Alternative Hair Consult runs an hour for $75 and covers lifestyle, hair loss circumstances, cap construction, sizing, density, color and style. That fee applies to any alternative hair purchased at the consult. The studio also provides cranial prosthetic receipts for clients seeking insurance coverage or reimbursement for wigs.

Booking and payment details are set by the studio. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval before the appointment. Financing through Affirm, Afterpay and Klarna is available upon approval. The studio prefers at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations, and appointments cancelled within 24 hours, outside of an emergency, carry a $75 fee at the following appointment. Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 11 AM to 7 PM, Thursday 10 AM to 6 PM, and Friday and Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM. The studio is closed Sunday and Monday.

Each alternative hair piece is customized to the individual client, with comfort and confidence treated as essential to wearing it.
