Beauty By Ty is a lash and beauty studio in Union, New Jersey. According to the salon, it is the premier destination for lash extensions, and it describes its team as certified lash artists.
The lash menu covers classic, volume, mega volume, hybrid, anime, wet set and The Pixie styles, plus The Brownie, which uses brown lashes in hybrid and volume versions for a softer, lighter finish. Classic sets place one extension on each natural lash. Fills are priced by style and need at least 40% of the lashes to remain; otherwise a full set is charged for Classic, Hybrid and Volume fills. Wednesdays carry a special rate of $130 for a hybrid, wet set or volume full set.
Brow services include henna brows, brow lamination with tint, which the salon says lasts six to eight weeks, and ombre brows done by microshading, a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo used to give the look of fuller brows. Ombre brows can be refreshed with a 4-6 week or a yearly touch-up. Waxing covers eyebrows, upper lip, chin, side burns and underarms.
Training is a key part of the business. Master Lash Training is a one-on-one, two-day course for becoming a lash tech, ending with a certificate of completion and a training kit, and a separate one-on-one Refresher Course is available for working on lash technique. Both need a deposit and advance booking.
Lash refill memberships are billed monthly and include two refill appointments each, with the membership benefit applied automatically at checkout in store. Gift cards come in set amounts or a custom value. Most services take a $25 deposit to book, ombre brows take $50, and a 50% fee applies to cancellations made within 24 hours. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000. The studio is open Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday daytime, and is closed Mondays and Sundays.
Lash extensions range from a natural look with one extension per lash to fuller and brown-toned styles, with fills and refills kept on a set schedule.
