Vida Artistry opened in 2012 and has been operating for 12 years. The salon describes itself as one of Union County's most trusted salons. It presents itself as a place for hair, skin, lash and brow services under one roof, with artists who each take on a particular range of work.

About

The hair menu starts with cuts for girls, men and women, then moves into color, from root touch-ups and glazes through highlights, babylights and balayage. Specialty treatments include Keratin Complex, Hair Botox, body and spiral waves, and several product-based smoothing and repair options. Color correction and creative custom color are arranged by consultation.

The Head Spa is built around a scalp visit that includes an analysis, cleansing, exfoliation, a mask and a scalp massage. The Signature version adds a flowing water step, and add-ons such as a mini facial or hydro-jelly mask can be combined with it or with a facial. Head Spa services include a rough dry only, and a blowout or styling can be added. Skin options range from dermaplaning and LED light therapy to a Hydrafacial at three levels, which use vortex technology to cleanse, extract and infuse the skin with serums. The Deluxe and Platinum versions add a booster and LED light therapy, and the Platinum also includes lymphatic drainage.

Brows and lashes are handled at a dedicated bar, covering brow waxing, brow stain, brow lamination, lash lifts and tints, and a range of lash sets from classic to volume. Brow Stain is described as lasting on the skin up to 10 days while tinting brow hairs for 4 to 6 weeks.

For special occasions, the salon offers blowouts, styling, updos and makeup, as well as on-location luxury hair and makeup for weddings. Bridal trials and packages for brides and bridal parties are available by inquiry.

Booking has a few clear rules. Color, corrective, creative, chemical and specialty services require a credit card at booking. Confirmations go out by text and email 72 hours ahead. Changes or cancellations are asked for at least 48 hours in advance; later cancellations carry a 25% fee, and cancellations under 24 hours or no-shows are charged 50% of the service. Cancellations are not accepted by email, and after-hours cancellations can be left as a detailed voicemail. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their service shortened or rescheduled at the salon's discretion. The salon says it keeps up with education and changing trends.

Each artist focuses on a particular range of services and tailors them to the guest, with expert advice that aims to keep hair healthy during treatment.
