AfterGlo Facial Studio was created by its founder, Sydnii, after years of working in the beauty and skincare industry. It operates as a small, private studio on the first floor of a building in Gowanus, where every visit is booked in advance and the schedule stays focused on one client at a time.

Each facial starts with a skin consultation, and the treatment is built around the client's concerns and goals. The studio recommends a visit frequency during the appointment, usually every four to six weeks, with more frequent sessions suggested for acne, pigmentation or aging concerns. Extractions are included when appropriate and are only done when they can be carried out safely and comfortably.

The menu is grouped into Mini Glo Facials, Signature Glo Facials, Advanced Glo Facials, Enhancements and Series, and Real Skin. Real Results. The Mini Glo options are shorter visits, while the Advanced Glo treatments include chemical peels, a microcurrent facial that works on the facial muscles, and a microneedling facial with topical numbing. Series pricing is offered on several treatments, and the Real Skin. Real Results group pairs multi-session microneedling, oxygen and peel programs with before-and-after photos shared only with client permission. Products come from the professional skincare line Circadia.

Bookings are made online through Vagaro, which also processes payments. A valid credit card is required to reserve, but it is charged only for a cancellation fee, a no-show fee or a required deposit. Cancellations or reschedules need at least 12 hours' notice, and shorter notice incurs a 50% fee; no-shows are charged the full service price. Clients are asked to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early. Before a facial, clients should pause prescription retinoids and exfoliants for three to five days, avoid waxing or depilatories on the treatment area for five to seven days, and avoid Botox or fillers in the two weeks before. Makeup should wait at least 24 hours after peels, dermaplaning, microneedling or Oxygen RX. The studio is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday 10am to 7pm, Thursday 10am to 8pm, and Saturday 11am to 7pm, and is closed Mondays. Clients ring Bell #7 on arrival, and the F and G trains (Smith-9th Streets) and R train (4th Avenue-9th Street) are a short walk away.

Treatments aim to support healthy skin, the skin barrier and relaxation rather than only quick fixes.
