Product recommendations are discussed at the end of each appointment to help hair hold up between visits.

The salon's color menu covers All Over Color, Root Refresh, Gloss and Gloss + Treat, along with three dimensional options: Partial Dimension, Full Dimension and Mini Dimension. Each dimensional service can add a Root Refresh. Balayage is hand painted for each client rather than placed from set patterns, and the salon says it is among its most requested services. Dimensional services include a blow dry and any glossing or root shadowing needed, and hair color services include a blow dry, with express options available without one.

Starting prices are: Root Refresh from $169, All Over Color from $199, Gloss from $114, Gloss + Treat from $159, Partial Dimension from $269, Full Dimension from $299, Mini Dimension from $219, and Herbal Hair Infusion Treatment from $30. These are base prices and may change. Color corrections are charged at $120 per hour, with longer appointments costing more. Corrective and creative color requires an in-person consultation before booking.

The studio is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:00am to 8:00pm on Tuesday and 10:00am to 8:00pm on Wednesday, Friday from 10:00am to 7:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm; it is closed Monday, Thursday and Sunday. Appointments can be requested in person, online through the Vagaro app, or by email, phone or DM. Clients can reach the studio at 312-291-1085 or aecolorlab@gmail.com. Neighborhood parking and public transit are nearby, and visitors use an intercom to be buzzed in.

Focused on natural-looking color with a modern feel, built on a consultation, careful formula records and regular learning, with product advice given at the end of each visit.

Guests have free Wi-Fi, extra phone chargers, and beverages and snacks available during their visit.
